and I are planning to go to a local convention as Kairi and Namine..I've been working out some patters for the costumes since we got out of school and i'm having a bit of trouble..
Keep in mind, we're running on a very limited budget o.o
First problem: MATERIALS o.o
For Kairi I always though it would be a pleather/leather like material? But I wonder if that would pucker too much at the seams...
And for Namine's dress, would a simple cotton dress work? And should the two dresses have a lining in them..?
I planned to look at a local thrift store to see if I could find some dresses and alter them, but if I can't I want to have a backup plan...
Second problem: ZIPPERS!
Ok, i've checked Walmart, and various craft stores and cannot find 30"-36" SILVER zippers anywhere -.- All I can find are black and blue.. and Idea where I could find some cheap?
Third Problem: Scalloping Namine's dress
So, i've never done scalloping before.. Exactly how shuould I go about it? Do I just cut the fabric and re-hem it or would it better to use that no-fray spray(I don't know it's real name lol)?
uhmmm... and other than that, I beleive we're good...
